Cutter Christmas 2008

It's a family tradition to take a family picture at Christmas each year. My brother Rich sets up his tripod, we all organize ourselves and squeeze in tight, and say cheese. The picture this year turned out GREAT!! I still am amazed that everyone ~including the 5 kids ages 5 and under are all looking AND smiling at the camera.

As the Cutter/Highsmith grandchildren get older, we are trying to teach them the true meaning of Christmas is Baby Jesus' birth. Mimi annually bakes a birthday cake for Jesus and the kids all get to decorate it. Then we all sing "Happy Birthday to You" to Jesus.

This year Mimi collected/made costumes for the kids to dress up and put on a live nativity while singing/listening to "Away in a Manger". It was really sweet to watch them do this. This was our first year doing this, but I think it may be another annual tradition.

Merry Christmas EVERYBODY!

We hope that you each have a very merry Christmas and wonderful 2009! We have so much to be grateful for this past year. 2008 has brought so many blessing to the Highsmith home. A new house, new baby, and my parents living near are just a few things that come to mind right away. May you have a peaceful, Christ-filled Christmas this year.

Marlee's Baby Dedication

This morning at our church, we had the privilege of dedicating our sweet Marlee to the Lord. It was nice to have many of our family members there to support us. We pray that our daughter's life will be pleasing to God and that she will love Jesus with all of her heart.

A Family Photo

This is a RARE family photo of all 5 of us. Turned out pretty good considering we have 3 children ages 5 and under. I think it earned a spot over the fireplace.

~Sweet Baby~

They say she looks like her mommy and her biggest sister...I think they are right.

The newborn craziness has worn off as we approach Marlee's 3 month birthday. She now just feels part of the family and we LOVE her to pieces. Her sweet smile melts her daddy's and my heart and makes her sisters laugh out loud.

Fall Pictures

The leaves have been so pretty this fall. We went to my mom's house to take some pics of the girls. Here are some of our best shots.
